Waiting for the Sunset in Kuala Besut, Terengganu

Kuala Besut is a small fishing town in Terengganu on the east coast of Peninsular MalaysiaThis coastal town is situated next to the South China Sea where the Perhentian Islands lie (popular for its tourist activities like scuba-diving, snorkeling, swimming, camping, canoeing, fishing, jungle trekking, and boat riding). As the gateway to the Perhentian Islands offering leisure, adventure and amusement, Kuala Besut is one of the country's most visited tourist attractions. Many speedboats and tour operators for Pulau Perhentian can also be found in this scenic seaside town.

Last week (16 October 2016 - 20 October 2016), I attended The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) course for trainers at IPG Kampus Sultan Mizan in Terengganu. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) is an international standard for describing language ability and is used around the world to describe learners' language skills. I had a very enjoyable stay at Samudera Hotel throughout the duration of the course. The money I spent on my cozy room overlooking the sea (RM105 per night) was certainly worth paying for as my priceless sunset experiences on the beach could not be evaluated in terms of money.

Sunset is the most beautiful moment of the day. Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn (Ralph Waldo Emerson) and hence gives us the opportunity to "reset our lives" (Richie Norton). The sunset sky always evokes a sense of peace in my heart and brings new hope and joy. I love the sunsets because "they almost seem as if we were looking through the gates of heaven" (John Lubbock). There is nothing like a beautiful sunset to end a healthy day (Rachel Boston). Beyond the sundown is tomorrow's wisdom, today is going to be long, long ago (Thomas Hornsby Ferril). Below are photos of my sunset experiences on the beach that I would like to share with my readers.
